life drawing drop-in

Dropped in to my first local weekly figure drawing group tonight. Started off with 30 second poses and eventually got up to 10 minutes. Usually I spend hours and hours on one figure, so this is a good challenge for me. Definitely plan to make this a habit.

Before the drawing session I hit up the used bookstores and scored these fine things:

Moebius 6, Kabuki - Skin Deep, and Arthur Rackham Shakespeare illustrations

Also, found out I got an A- in a class I was worried I wouldn’t pass at all. And then improvised the most delicious mushroom vermouth cream sauce for my pasta dinner. And had strawberries with sour cream and brown sugar for dessert.

Today was pretty awesome. 😀

Just a quickie

School’s keeping me busy as always. I’ve got lots of projects going on at the moment, one of which I’ve been working on in various forms for a month now. Looking forward to finishing it so I can post it here. (Sharing works in progress tends to kill them for me, I’ve noticed.)

Just saw the accepted submissions list for Spectrum 18! I’ll definitely have to pick up a copy when it comes out, too many awesome names in there. Like teeteringbulb, James Gurney, Jim Mahfood, David Mack, Julie Dillon, Charles Vess, Peter de Seve, and okay I could go on but you get the idea. Can’t wait to get my hands on this!
